Active Antenna

Description
Our active antennas are widely used in devices with navigation and positioning functions, such as vehicles and handsets. The antennas are mainly applied to receive and transmit signals. There are two types of active GPS antennas: internal and external. A set of internal active antenna consists of ceramic patch antenna, LNA, cable and connector. Housing is added to external antenna on basis of the internal antenna.
Active antenna is with amplifying circuit inside the antenna. It receives weak signals through passive antenna, enlarges the signals by amplifying circuit and transmits them to host. Host analyzes those signals and enforces navigation and positioning.

Advantages
1. We have 28 years’ experience and professional R&D team for active antenna development, which assure our products are in the leading edge in antenna industry.
2. Active GPS antennas feature good axial ratio, standing wave, high gain, low loss, and so on.
3. Advanced technology is adopted to assure antennas’ high gain, low loss and good signal receiving ability.
4. After five test sessions in production line and FAQ sampling investigation, the first pass yield of our antennas is 99%.
5. Both our internal and external active antennas are water and corrosion resistant.

Difference between Active Antenna and Passive Antenna
The main difference between active antenna and passive antenna is that active aerial has amplifier and supporting power. With added amplifier, active aerial’s gain is high, so most active antennas are a little smaller than passive antennas.

Attentions
1. Classified by mounting methods, external active antennas have three types: magnet attracting antenna, pasting antenna and screwing antenna.
2. The active GPS antenna can’t be covered by metal plate in the signal receiving direction.
3. Because internal active antenna is sensitive, it’s better for customer to send us the devices and then we will adjust and test the antenna with the devices. Different sizes of this type are available.

Package
1. For external active antenna, plastic bag is the innermost package, small white box as the middle and carton (49.35 cm × 22.5 cm × 27 cm) as the outer package.
2. Internal active aerial is wrapped with plastic bag and put in a carton (37 cm × 37 cm × 17cm).

Jinchang Electron is specialized in high frequency antenna R&D, designing, manufacturing and selling. Main products include GPS/GLONASS/COMPASS/GSM/CDMA/GPRS/WIFI/DAB-DVB antennas, various combo antennas, connectors and interface cables. Our active antennas are very popular abroad. 70% of them are exported to foreign countries, like Italy, Germany, France, America, Canada and Australia.
